Standardizing Workplace Zones & Deepening 6S Management

Comprehensive Workshop 6S Rectification Campaign in Full Swing

May 2026 · Workshop Management Department

To further strengthen the foundations of production site management and create a safe, clean, efficient, and orderly working environment, Wuxi New Ruichi Technology Co., Ltd. recently launched a comprehensive workshop zone planning and on-site rectification campaign in full accordance with 6S management standards.

I. Scientific Zone Planning and Clear Functional Layout

In alignment with actual production workflows and operational requirements, the workshop systematically reorganized and optimized all functional zones:

  • Standardized demarcation of work areas, material zones, semi-finished product areas, finished product areas, and aisle zones.
  • Unified floor marking lines and clear signage installed throughout, achieving well-defined zones and fixed-position management.
  • Optimized equipment and material placement to maximize space utilization, resulting in a cleaner and more organized site.

II. Targeted On-Site Rectification Across Key Areas

Through a concentrated rectification effort, major improvements were achieved across multiple workshop teams.

Press Team

  • Problem: Materials and pallets randomly stored in aisles, occupying passages and work areas; improper placement violated safety regulations and 6S requirements.
  • Measures: ① Cleared all materials and pallets from aisles to designated storage zones. ② Used yellow floor markings to demarcate material, tool, and equipment zones. ③ Established a daily inspection routine to maintain clear aisles.
  • Results: Aisles fully cleared; safety hazards eliminated; work areas clearly delineated. Material placement standardized; at-a-glance management achieved. Overall environment meets 6S standards.

Stamping Team

  • Problem: Wood boards, workpieces, and miscellaneous items piled around equipment, obstructing safe operation space and blocking daily maintenance.
  • Measures: ① Fully cleared surroundings of all equipment; removed wood, scrap, and surplus items. ② Established fixed-position management and protective markings for equipment perimeter zones. ③ Set up daily cleaning and inspection routines.
  • Results: Equipment surroundings fully unobstructed; safety hazards eliminated. Floor cleaned; maintenance efficiency significantly improved. Site meets 6S standards; orderliness markedly enhanced.

Welding Team

  • Problem: Equipment cables and wiring sprawled across the floor, creating tripping and electrical safety hazards; non-compliant with 6S and electrical safety standards.
  • Measures: ① Cleared all floor-level cables and wires; removed loose fixtures. ② Routed and tied cables along designated paths; installed protective conduits where required. ③ Strengthened employee training on 6S and electrical safety; cultivated proper wiring habits.
  • Results: All cables neatly routed; floor clear of loose wiring; tripping and electrical hazards eliminated. Wiring organized and tidy; visual clarity and maintenance access improved. Site fully compliant with 6S standards.

Packaging Team

  • Problem: Cardboard scraps, packaging waste, and miscellaneous items piled without classification in the packaging zone; disorganized and creating safety risks.
  • Measures: ① Cleared all excess cardboard, paper scraps, and miscellaneous waste. ② Deep-cleaned floors; established daily cleaning and inspection system. ③ Trained employees on material classification and tool storage habits per 6S packaging standards.
  • Results: Materials properly classified and stacked; tools managed systematically; operational efficiency greatly improved. Zone clearly labeled; environment clean and tidy; safety hazards fully eliminated. Employee awareness noticeably enhanced.

Raw Material Team

  • Problem: Large amounts of plastic debris and packaging waste on the floor; general disorder affecting vehicle access and safety; non-compliant with 6S standards.
  • Measures: ① Fully cleared plastic scraps, garbage, and waste from all floor areas. ② Standardized use and recycling of packaging materials; introduced dedicated collection bins. ③ Conducted full-area floor cleaning; established daily cleaning and maintenance routine.
  • Results: Floors clean and clear; cracks and debris eliminated; safety hazards removed. Aisles unobstructed; visual environment significantly improved. Site fully meets 6S standards; employee hygiene habits enhanced.

III. Establishing Long-Term Mechanisms to Consolidate Gains

This zone rectification campaign is not merely a one-time concentrated action — it marks a new starting point for ongoing management improvement. The workshop has committed to the following sustained measures:

  • Strengthen daily patrols and maintenance inspections on a continuous basis.
  • Integrate standardized management practices into everyday work routines.
  • Build a normalized and institutionalized site management mechanism to support improved production quality and efficiency through a clean, safe, and orderly environment.

A clean, safe, and well-organized production environment is the foundation of quality manufacturing. Wuxi New Ruichi Technology Co., Ltd. will continue to advance 6S management practices throughout all workshops, empowering high-quality production and sustainable operational growth.
